Everyone on the plane is talking like it's a school bus. Everyone seemed to know each other. And sitting next to the gentleman next to me, I ultimately asked him, "How many folks on this plane, this thirty seat two prop are actually familiar with this site?" He looked around, and he said, "Everyone. There isn't a person on this flight who's not familiar with this site."

Coming in from the New York and Connecticut area, we're bringing our accents, and we're bringing our ideas, and we're bringing our some may assume preconceived ideas, but,

What we came to discover early in the course of our four visits to the site was that as dastardly as the site is and was, the community did not want to wipe it off the face of the Earth in terms of its history.

It didn’t take long before people understood what we’re here for. To understand that we’re here to listen and bring our expertise to the table. And bring your thoughts, your vision, your challenges, to life. And that’s, that’s really the basis of how this project evolved. We allowed people to share with us their stories, and we conveyed those into these major themes, that were ultimately conveyed in the park’s design. And I think that’s what made the difference in bringing the park from a vision, to a reality, to what people are appreciating and enjoying every day now that it’s been constructed.
