We’re helping to realize the objectives of the EU-funded communications project, OPEN Neighbourhood South
For more than a decade, the European Union (EU) has been working to improve public perception of its work in the Southern Neighborhood—a collection of countries including Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, and Tunisia. The successor program, OPEN Neighbourhood, aims to build on the achievements of the previous planned phases.
In our work with OPEN Neighbourhood, we’re helping to develop information campaigns, prepare communication materials, and raise awareness. With a focus on young audiences, policy and opinion makers, the media, and civil society organizations, we’re assessing the perception of the EU and its support in the Southern Neighbourhood through opinion polling and media monitoring.
The program supports a trilingual website (English, French, and Arabic) that acts as a hub of information on EU cooperation and relations within the region. The project produces daily news and feature stories highlighting cooperation results as well as all sorts of informative materials.
With this program and its tailor-made solutions, the EU hopes to illustrate the impact of its diplomacy, communication, and development to opinion-makers and the general public in the Southern Neighbourhood countries.
