With 24 years at Stantec including 15 years as a business center managing leader, Garry’s dedication to strategic and well-managed projects is well known. He’s built a strong reputation across his region, and with a renewed focus on growth in the Metro Vancouver area, Garry recently accepted the role of business center leader in our water sector.
Garry is responsible for technical, administrative, and business development functions for municipal infrastructure, transportation, and water resource related projects. A few years ago he had the opportunity to contribute to the 2010 Winter Olympics with the Whistler Sliding Center and the Athlete’s Village. Garry worked on initial planning and design elements while championing cost-effective design and managing construction challenges.
With projects for private and government agencies, first nation communities, and utility companies, Garry has been engineer and project manager to a wide variety of clients. When he’s not at work, his pet project is designing, building, and maintaining the landscaping elements of his property—on which he grows organic fruits and vegetables.
