Brian, a project geotechnical engineer, has worked on developments ranging from basic parking lots to multi-story, harbor-front buildings. As the team leader for our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, geotechnical engineering group, Brian is known for his expertise in municipal and provincial government infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, sub-divisions, and schools).
When the 2011 Canada Games were held in Halifax, Brian was the geotechnical engineer and construction quality control engineer for two high-profile facilities: The Emera Oval and the Canada Games Sports Centre. The Emera Oval—a long-track speed skating oval—was subsequently re-developed into a permanent facility due to its popularity, and the Canada Games Sports Centre also stayed around as a facility for Brian and his community to enjoy well into the future.
If he isn’t working, Brian might be supporting his older daughter’s soccer teams or his younger daughter’s basketball teams. With two teenaged girls, Brian and his wife try to spend a lot of active time with the whole family—and camping and travel are the top choices. An avid ice hockey player and skier, Brian is currently improving his guitar skills.
